Scott Mills has told a Dubai website during his holidays that he was “pleased” not to have picked up the breakfast show from Chris Moyles, and that although he enjoys covering for Nick Grimshaw, he wouldn’t want to do it all of the time.
Speaking to AhlanLive.com he said: “I kind of thought that I would about five years ago and I think I’ve missed the boat. But I’m quite pleased about it, and they let me do it when Grimmy’s off. I think he’s doing really well. I love it but would I want to do it all the time? I dunno. I get a lot of emails from people in Dubai saying they listen to me. It’s a taste of home!”
Scott returns to Radio 1 today after holidaying in Dubai.
